Introduction:

Primary eye care centers are small, permanent facilities set up to extend eye care service delivery to remote and rural communities with the objective of increasing uptake of comprehensive eye care. Amuwa (Siyari) one of our primary eye care center, situated in the  Rupandehi District in Rural Municipality area,  was established with the great initiation of Nepal Netra Jyoti sangh Rupandehi Branch / Lumbini Eye institute and research center/ Shree Rana Ambika Shah eye hospital, Bhairahawa on Bs. 2076-01-09. 2019/4/22. The center was locally supported by Siyari Rural Municipality during its establishment.   

Location: 11 Km from LEIRC,Bhairahawa

Serving Population: More than 45 Thousand

Beneficiaries Population: Adjacent Siyari Rural Municipality , few from Tilottama Municipality and Shuddhodhan Rural Municipality, Rupandehi .

Available service:  Vision Assessment / Refraction / Optical dispensing / Medication and screening service / periodically cataract screening, School eye health program, and ongoing day to day Eye health education.
