Introduction:
Primary eye care centers are small, permanent facilities set up to extend eye care service delivery to remote and rural communities with the objective of increasing uptake of comprehensive eye care. Dhakdhai (Rohini) one of our primary eye care center, situated in the Rupandehi District in Rural Municipality area, was established with the great initiation of Nepal Netra Jyoti sangh Rupandehi Branch / Lumbini Eye institute and research center/ Shree Rana Ambika Shah eye hospital, Bhairahawa on Bs. 2076-04-24. 2019/08/09. The center was locally supported by Rohini Rural Municipality during its establishment.
Location: 11 Km from LEIRC,Bhairahawa
Serving Population: More than 65 Thousand
Beneficiaries Population: Adjacent Rural Municipality Omsatiya, and few from Devdaha Municipality and Eastern Part (from Dhakdhai) of Nawal Parasi .
Available service: Vision Assessment / Refraction / Optical dispensing / Medication / Ear care and screening service / periodically cataract screening, School eye health program, and ongoing day to day Eye health education.
